Heavy wear and fading to covers and spines with outer and inner hinge splitting present across the 4 volumes and damage to the tops of the outer spines. Volume 1 is lacking front prelims including title page and begins with a dedication to the Queen followed by the preface. There are several loose pages across the volumes. Pages clean and bright with little to no foxing.
