This great antique 2 volume set of "The Works Of Virgil" was translated into english by John Dryden and published in London in 1819. Bound in full calfskin with gilt on spine, these two volumes have been show wear to the covers, but are in overall good shape for being over 200 years old. Volume 1 is missing a piece of the front end paper but it otherwise complete. Both books have unusually bright pages, free from rips, tears, writing or major damage, although both have some bleeding from the engravings. Both have tight bindings and number 392 pages in Volume 1 and 333 in volume 2.
