Setting Free the Bears by John Irving. This is John Irving's now quite scarce first novel! I've always been partial to this fantastic and colorful dust jacket. One of this generations finest novelist this book was reviewed quite well for a first novel.
The book and jacket are both in a VG state. Book with a few bent pages within creating creasing and a small "H" stamp on the FEP. Solid binding and beautifully preserved red top stain. Jacket has a sticker ghost that can likely be removed and a small perforation at spine. There are creases at the back flap and front flap as well as a small chip at rear hinge.Edgewear present and small tape repair to verso not affecting front. A really nice example of this rare work which is getting difficult to find.
